Document Formatting Tips

Explains how to go about planning documents effectively.

  1. Plan your document first getting the structure right BEFORE creating Topics.
  2. Use Word styles. This makes everything neat and it is easy to change the look of the whole document by changing the style definition.
  3. Create extra styles if you need.
  4. Use 'Automatically update document' with styles to force consistency across a number of documents.
  5. With just a few styles you can achieve a neat formatting. Heading 1 thru 6, Normal, Normal Indent, Bullet, Num List. There are quick keys for all these in EasyHTML/Help.

There is obviously more to say on all this but we run a two day training course on all this so we cannot give too much away :-)
