Using Graphics/Pictures Files

Embedded Pictures in Word do not work! You *must* insert your pictures as 'link to file'. (Insert | Picture | 'Link to file') Then EasyHTML/Help will put in a proper HTML reference to a GIF or JPG file.

EX5.DOC should illustrate this.

Put the .GIF files in the same directory as the .HTM files. However you can place the GIF files in a separate graphics directory and use the 'relative graphics' path on the Project Options.

  1. Insert pictures as Insert | Picture | 'Link to file'

The 'link to file is important! If you 'embed' pictures they will not display in HTML
  2. If you are using Word 6 you will only be able to insert WMF and BMP type files. This OK but you must also put a GIF copy of the picture in the same location as your generated HTML files.
